Detectives in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a serious assault in the Westcliff area of the town.
The incident happened at around 3am on Tuesday 20 August 2013 near Pier Approach.
The victim, a 17-year-old Poole man, was approached from behind while walking at the location and hit over the head with a glass bottle.
The unknown offender then stole his mobile phone and ran off.
The victim was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew before being taken to hospital where he required stitches for a nasty cut to his lip.
Detective Sergeant Andy Bell, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or may have details about the offender to come forward.
“The victim has been left with a nasty injury, and has been left extremely shaken following the attack.
“The offender is described as white, aged 16, of stocky build, around six foot four inches tall and has short brown hair. He was wearing shorts and a red T-shirt.

No arrests have been made.
