A large version of Renoir’s ‘Vase of Roses’ has been recreated at Poundbury Gardens, Dorchester, part of The Gardens Group.
Over the August Bank Holiday weekend, 18 artists of all abilities took a blank canvas and worked on a section of the famous painting. Each canvas was then pieced together to form the whole picture which was unveiled on Bank Holiday Monday. The large replica, which was painted in acrylic, will remain at the front of the garden centre for visitors and passers-by to enjoy throughout September.
