Detectives in Bournemouth are renewing their appeal for witnesses and information following the death of a man in Boscombe.
Officers attended an address on Gloucester Road at around 12.34pm on Friday 11 October 2013, following a request on behalf of Wiltshire Police.
On arrival, the body of a man was located within the premises.
Enquiries were made into the circumstances of the death, and a murder investigation was launched.
The coroner is aware and an inquest will be opened into the death on Tuesday 15 October 2013.
Next of kin have been informed and formal identification has taken place. The deceased man has been named as 42-year-old Ibrahim Youseuf from Bournemouth.
Detective Inspector Marcus Hester, of the Dorset Police Major Crime Team, said: “Our investigation into this murder is progressing and the deceased is believed to be the owner of the Five Star Car Wash on Gloucester Road.
“As a result of our enquiries I can confirm we are linking this murder to a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Wiltshire at approximately 6.15am on Friday 11 October 2013.
“We are currently liaising closely with Wiltshire Police in relation to this.
“The details of the deceased from the road traffic collision are currently unknown and we are attempting to identify the driver and contact the next of kin.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed or heard an argument between 8pm and 8.30pm on Thursday 10 October 2013 in the area of 5 Gloucester Road in Boscombe, or anyone with any information about who is responsible to contact Dorset Police as soon as possible.
“I would like to reassure the community that this appears to be an isolated incident and that both the deceased were known to each other.
“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
