Creativity comes from within, but how do we unlock it? Well, local multi-disciplinary artist Hazel Evans, who is currently Artist in Residence at Lighthouse, will be hoping to set free people’s creativity through her Creative Freedom Workshop as part of ‘Time of your Life!’, Lewis-Manning Hospice’s residential course to help women re-balance their lives.
Hazel, who is working with Lewis-Manning for the first time, said, “This workshop is about finding this creative passion and unleashing it by allowing freedom of expression through various mediums. In this particular workshop we will be working with inks, poetry and music in a beautiful creative journey together and in a new way of working which I’ve developed through my workshops. This dynamic and fun artistic expression invites the group to learn how to embrace their incredible creative self as well as facing and releasing any fears we have about being creative.”
‘Time of your Life’ involves an overnight stay at 1 Crichel Mount Road in Sandbanks, which has stunning views over Poole Harbour, and offers a chance to step off the treadmill for 24 hours.
The course, which is part of Lewis-Manning’s ‘live well’ programme, is open to all women over 18, particularly those who are recovering from treatment, for a suggested donation of £150, which includes supper, breakfast, lunch and refreshments, as well single en-suite accommodation and parking. Over the two days the group will participate in a number of activities and workshops.
Places are strictly limited so if you are interested in being on this very special course, please contact Vikkie Richmond on 01202 708470.
