A week long art exhibition begins on Sunday 10 August at Church House in Wimborne, raising money for Lewis-Manning Hospice in Poole.
Local artists Margaret Hasted, Sarah Kelly, Kathe Holt and Chris Sanders, who have all organised the exhibition in previous years, are collaborating once again to showcase their work and help raise money for charity. Having raised over £2,000 for Lewis-Manning at last year’s event, the artists’ annual display of work has gained in popularity and been met with high regard within the Dorset arts’ scene.
Lewis-Manning Hospice, based in Lilliput, offers free specialist palliative nursing care to hundreds of local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. The functioning of the Hospice is reliant upon the generous support that comes from fundraising activities and events such as the art exhibition.
The gallery, located on Wimborne High Street, will be open from Sunday 10 August until Saturday 16 August, 10am – 5pm daily. Entry is by donation, and light refreshments will be available. Framed and unframed paintings will be for sale, and artists’ cards will be available.
