Tickets are now on sale for ‘An Evening of Vintage Glamour’ to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
The vintage event is being hosted by the charity Round Table Children’s Wish at The Italian Villa at Compton Acres in Poole on Thursday 6 November.
Featuring a range of independent stalls selling vintage clothes, gifts, homeware, jewellery, and a vintage hair and make-up stall, the evening will also include dance demonstrations by JitterbugJive, the display team of the Bournemouth Lindy Hop Club, led by Linda and Denis Secretan.
There will also be a silent auction and a Champagne raffle.
Proceeds from the evening will be used by Round Table Children’s Wish to create handcrafted gifts for children, including family holidays, trips to theme parks, a favourite toy or the chance to meet a favourite celebrity.
Samantha Read, a fundraiser for the charity said: “Our ladies’ shopping nights are always very popular and we are hoping this, our first vintage themed-event, will prove quite a draw.
“As well as some beautiful clothes and accessories we have some great prizes in our auction and raffle including a family stay at The Imperial Hotel, Torquay, in Devon and four tickets to Paultons Park.
“And dare I say it? with Christmas just around the corner this will be a great opportunity to pick up some beautiful presents, whilst knowing you are helping some very poorly children.”
Tickets cost £7.50 (children over 12 may attend) and can be purchased on the door, by phone, email, or from the Round Table Children’s Wish office at 857 Wimborne Road, Bournemouth, BH9 2BQ.
Places are also still available for exhibitors.
Donations of vintage or vintage-inspired items are still being accepted. Please take your vintage clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories to the charity’s office.
