Dorset Police has secured a confiscation order worth £40,000 against a convicted offender.
On Thursday 19 December 2013 Lee Hepburn, 26 and of Bournemouth, pleaded guilty at Bournemouth Crown Court to two counts of possession with intent to supply cannabis and various motoring offences and was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
Following a further appearance at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday 31 October 2014, a confiscation order under the Proceeds of Crime Act was made against him.
An order was made against Hepburn for £40,000 with an amount of £540 payable within 28 days from Friday 21 November 2014.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Kennard, of Dorset Police’s Economic Crime Unit, said: “The outstanding amount will remain as a debt which Hepburn will have to pay as soon as he has any available assets.
“Dorset Police does not tolerate drug dealing and we will take every opportunity using Proceeds of Crime Act legislation to deprive criminals of their illegal gain.”
