The Verwood Carnival committee have just handed out cheques to local deserving groups and charities to the tune of £2,000.
Chairman Adrian Read said, “Although 2014 was not a brilliant year for us, we wanted to thank those people and groups that support and participate in the carnival.”
The cheques were handed out prior to a meeting at the Hideaway in Verwood. New committee members are on board and the future of the carnival is looking a lot brighter.
