Oakhurst flies the flag

Oakhurst Community First School in West Moors held a special Red, White and Blue day to celebrate British values. Children and staff wore red, white and blue. Children learnt about the Royal Family, made a collage of Buckingham Palace, and built models of the House of Parliament and Big Ben. Visitors to the school included the local police and two East Dorset District councillors. Children in years three and four learnt about the work of East Dorset District Council and held a debate about what new play equipment they would like in the Parish Council’s play area.
