Fresh fruit and veg, the aroma of freshly cooked bacon, pies and cakes, handbags and belts – all part of Ferndown’s newest shopping experience.
Ferndown’s first Friday market today (1 April) has been welcomed by shoppers and stallholders with trade thriving in the spring sunshine.
The market, along Victoria Road, has been organised by councillors and the town’s Chamber of Commerce following requests from residents who have enjoyed going to the market in neighbouring towns.
Ferndown’s market will be a weekly event and has already proved popular, not just for shopping, but also as a place to meet friends and have a fun day out while buying excellent quality goods.
There is something for everyone and as word spreads, it is hoped additional stallholders will join the busy market.
The market will eventually move to Penny’s Walk so keep an eye out for the green and white gazebos every Friday.
