In its second week, the Friday market in Ferndown got underway again today (8 April) in Victoria Road attracting early morning shoppers into the town.
Organised by Ferndown Chamber of Commerce with the help of Ferndown Town Council, the market was originally planned to go ahead in Penny’s Walk and according to the president of the chamber, James Edgar, it should switch location within the next few weeks when “agreements are finalised with the landowners.”
He added, “In general the market has been very well received by the local businesses and positively welcomed by the shoppers.
“It will enhance the town greatly and bring more footfall to the businesses. This is a very positive time for Ferndown.
“It’s really amazing to be able to say that Friday is no longer just the end of the week, but it’s now market day in Ferndown!”
