This fast-paced fantasy novel, aimed at the teenage/adult fiction, market is unusually presented in eighty-four short chapters, fifty-eight of which are illustrated by the author.
The black-and-white planet Aggracore is on the brink of destruction and about to be taken over by the evil, flesh-stealing Gnomonites.
Zee and his eleven teenage mates are dragged from Earth by the Warrior of Doom to find the planet’s hidden colours and restore them before all is lost.
But it isn’t a simple quest. First, Zee has to find his mates, who have been transported to different lands. There are fifty-four lands all together and using a map and his feet to guide him, Zee has to search out his mates and perform a task in each of their lands. If the task is completed successfully, a colour is released, but the obsequious Gnomonites, who want the planet to remain black-and-white, are ever-present, infiltrating amongst the teenagers and planning whose body they want to wrap themselves in next.
Complicated with love, death and a turmoil of emotions, this fantasy adventure will send goose-bumps running up and down your spine. Nearly every chapter ends on a climax and you are left wanting to know what happens next.
Even if you don’t like reading, you’ll love this book for its artistic content. The drawings all join together to make a huge mural.
The whole thing is bizarre, quirky and best of all – sheer entertainment.
