There is a budget of £1million to be funded through a mix of an insurance pay-out and affordable borrowing.

Leader of BCP Council Cllr Vikki Slade said, “Proposals are for a modern airy design, in keeping with this beautiful and unique beach location. We also want to prioritise affordable, innovative, sustainable technologies and practices in-line with our aspirations to address the global climate-change emergency.”

Earlier in the year cabinet paused the scheme to allow further consultation. A planning application is currently live but will not be determined until after cabinet reviews the results of the consultation which will be available until midnight on 5 October.
