Positive work by local officers in Shaftesbury led to two warrants being carried out in the town – and a substantial amount of property seized.
Two warrants were executed last Wednesday under the Theft Act 1968 at addresses along High Street in Shaftesbury.
A substantial amount of property, believed to be stolen, was seized as a result of the warrant. Among the items recovered were a number of televisions, computers and jewellery.
Safer Neighbourhood Inspector, Shawn Whitley, said: “This was excellent, proactive work by local officers leading to the recovery of a number of items which we believe to be stolen.
“Enquiries are now underway to establish who the property belongs to and I’d urge anyone with information or concerns to contact me.”
An 18-year-old man and 22-year-old man, both from Shaftesbury, have been arrested and bailed in connection with a number burglaries.
The 22-year-old man has been charged with one offence of handling stolen goods.
