Community groups in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are to be invited to apply for funding from BCP Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Portion Scheme.

Bids could be for equipment to benefit a community group, street furniture, to refurbish a play area or for public art.

Both large and small scale projects can be considered depending on funding available in each local area pot with communities encouraged to discuss ideas with their ward councillors before submitting a bid.

Cllr Jane Kelly lead member for Engagement said, “The CIL Neighbourhood Portion is a chance to realise projects or improvements that could make a real difference to everyday lives. That’s why we’re asking people to get involved and let us know any ideas for a group or community in your area that need help with funding.”
