Runner bitten by dog in Poole
If you recognise the description of the man who was walking his Beagles the police would like you to get in touch.
A woman in her 20s running near Northmere Road in Poole was bitten by a dog at around 9am on Thursday 8 April.
It is reported that as she went past a man who was walking two Beagles, one of them bit her. The dog owner apologised to the victim and asked if she was all right.
When the woman returned home, she realised she had been injured and she attended hospital for treatment to piercing to her skin.
The man is described as white, approximately five feet six inches tall and of medium build with short dark hair that is possibly receding. He was wearing jeans.
Police Constable Jennie Sykes-Martin, of Dorset Police, said: “While the man did check to see if the victim was all right at the time, she did not realise until later that she was injured so was unable to obtain his contact details.
“I am appealing to anyone who recognises the male dog owner from the description given to please get in touch.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the man to please come forward so that we can take your account and establish exactly what happened.”
