Dorset Police is warning people about a Covid vaccines passport scam email that has been circulating.

Purporting to be from the NHS, it informed recipients that they can apply for their Digital Coronavirus Passports.

Clicking on the link within the email, took people to a convincing but fake NHS website that asked for personal and payment details – for an admin fee.

The website has since been taken down, but the police are concerned that other similar emails/websites might pop up.

People can be reassured that their vaccination status is obtained free through the NHS App, website or by calling the NHS on 119.
