Ringwood chef raises funds for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care
Patrick Fensterseifer, head chef at Care South’s St Ives House care home, has embarked on a Jurassic Coastal walk.
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, which provides care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness, is to have a boost to its fundraising.
Patrick Fensterseifer, head chef at Care South’s St Ives House care home, has started a Jurassic Coastal walk, today, 1 July to raise money for the charity.
He will walk via the Southwest Coastal Path and Castleman Trailway from Care South’s sister home, Buxton House in Weymouth. The route will take him through the great Jurassic Coast including Weymouth Bay, Lulworth, Kimmeridge Bay, Swanage, Old Harry Rocks, Studland Bay, Sandbanks, Holes Bay, Wimborne, Ferndown and onto St Ives House. This walk averages 25km per day and will see Patrick’s return on Sunday 4 July.
Patrick said: “I am absolutely delighted to take part in this challenge for such a fantastic cause. The help and care that Lewis-Manning provides is second to none and I want to give something back to the community. Any donations that people can provide – no matter how big or small is appreciated.”
