Driver fails to stop after hitting woman in Poole supermarket car park
The incident took place in the car park of the Tesco Extra store at Fleetsbridge at around 8pm on Thursday 24 June.
A woman in her 20s was walking through the car park of the Tesco Extra store at Fleetsbridge at around 8pm on Thursday 24 June when she was hit by a silver vehicle, believed to be a Volkswagen Polo.
The collision was at low speed and the woman did not sustain any serious injuries. However, she hurt her hand when she banged on the windscreen of the car to alert the driver.
The driver, described as a white woman in her early 20s, apologised but then drove off without leaving details. The passenger in the vehicle is described as a white man also in his early 20s.
Police Constable Daniel Goodman, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision or may have captured it on dashcam to contact us.
“I would also urge the driver involved to come forward so we can take your account.”
