Skills and employment week in Boscombe
If you are 16 and over living in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole you are invited to this event at the Royal Arcade this week.
People over 16 who are interested in developing a career in the creative and digital industries are invited to attend an event which is taking place in Boscombe this week.
Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole Council is hosting the Future Skills and Employment Week at the town’s Royal Arcade from today, 18 October, until Friday 22 October.
Across the week (except Wednesday) from 10am to 4pm, residents from across the area are encouraged to engage with a variety of expert talks, hands-on activities and much more.
Dorset Growth Hub will have an active presence to help visitors consider career options while the Virtual Careers Platform can assist with future planning. Career advisors will be on hand to provide expert guidance to visitors at the events and set them on a path to a fulfilling future.
Cllr Philip Broadhead, deputy leader of the Council, said: “The Future Skills and Employment Week is a perfect opportunity for residents across our area to be inspired and gain an insight into the creative and digital sectors. We have a fantastic selection of local businesses involved in this event and this is another piece of the jigsaw puzzle to make our whole area an epicentre of technological development in the coming years.”
