Woman injured in Poole hit and run
The fail- to-stop collision occurred in Bourne Valley Road on Tuesday 28 September as the victim went to cross the road.
A woman in her 20s was knocked down by a car in Poole on Tuesday 28 September and Dorset Police are hoping witnesses will come forward.
The incident occurred at around 4.25pm on Bourne Valley Road. The woman went to cross the road near to the Bourne Valley Roundabout, heading in the direction of Yarmouth Road, but as she crossed she was involved in a collision with a vehicle, believed to be a black Honda Civic, that was travelling along Bourne Valley Road toward the roundabout.
The driver, described as a woman in her 40s with brown shoulder-length hair, exchanged words with the victim and left the scene without providing her details, making off in the direction of Yarmouth Road.
The victim sustained injuries to her ribs and leg.
Police Constable Dan Goodman, of Poole police, said: “I appreciate this incident was some time ago but we have just been able to obtain a full account from the victim and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision or captured anything relevant on dashcam to please contact us.
“I would also urge the driver involved to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account.”
