Geese and ducks run over and killed in Purbeck
It appears that the driver deliberately killed the birds and police would like to speak to anyone with dashcam footage.
A vehicle seen travelling in East Creech Farm Road at speed at around 9.50pm on Wednesday 20 October appeared to deliberately drive at a number of ducks and geese on the roadside. Two geese and six ducks died as a result of the incident.
Police Constable Stuart Wilson, of Purbeck Police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident, which appears to be a mindless act by the driver involved, and I am appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage to please come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210169690.
