Dorset councillor crosses the floor
Corfe Mullen councillor Mike Barron has defected from the Lib Dems to the Conservative group on Dorset Council.
Dorset Councillor, Mike Barron, has crossed the political floor and left the Liberal Democrat Group in favour of the Conservative Group.
This follows recent discussions with the other Dorset Council ward member for Corfe Mullen, Cllr Paul Harrison, who said: “I’m delighted that Mike has made the decision to cross the floor and join the Conservative Group at Dorset Council. I have always got on with Mike and I have every confidence that we will work well as a team, serving our residents.”
In a statement, the leader of the Conservative Group at Dorset Council, Cllr Spencer Flower said he was delighted that Mike Barron had joined the group.
He said: “I feel sure that Mike will be a great asset to our team at Dorset Council and I as leader, along with Paul Harrison as his Corfe Mullen ward colleague, look forward to working with Mike.”
