Overnight closures of Ringwood Road in Ferndown
A stretch of the road will be closed overnight on Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 December, with diversions in pace.
If you’re planning to use Ringwood Road in Ferndown overnight on Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15 or Thursday 16 December, you will have to use an alternative route.
The road is being closed on those three nights from 8pm to 5am from south of Dunedin Drive to north of the entrance to Longham Business Park. The junctions onto Ringwood Road from Casterbridge Road and Angel Lane will also be closed.
The closures are part of the ongoing Transforming Cities Fund improvement works currently underway on Ringwood Road. They are necessary to carry out road resurfacing and to allow the installation of new road markings.
During these night-time closures, a diversion will be in place from the Longham roundabouts, along Ham Lane, Canford Bottom roundabout, Wimborne Road, Trickets Cross roundabout and back along Ringwood Road.
Residents who live in the affected area have been contacted directly by Dorset Council. Any residents who need special consideration or have access issues should contact the dedicated TCF Dorset Direct hotline on 01305 221025 before the closures begin.
