Vintage emergency vehicles on show in Bournemouth
There will be multiple blue lights at an Emergency Vehicle Day to be held at Bournemouth Electric Club this Sunday.
Fire engines, ambulances and police cars from every era will be on show at a 999 Emergency Vehicle Day to be held on Sunday 1 May at Bournemouth Electric Club.
Visitors will be able to view more than 70 vintage emergency vehicles plus classic cars at the venue next to the Castlepoint shopping centre.
The event runs between 10am and 4pm and there are also activities for children, plus live entertainment and food and drink.
Mick Callaghan, chairman of Bournemouth Electric, said: “This will be a great day. These historic vehicles are inherently interesting even if you’re not a real enthusiast.
“One of the fire engines even appeared on London’s Burning, the TV show.
“And children always enjoy looking at these machines – it’d be a great way for parents and grandparents to pass a few hours with their young charges.”
Entry is between £2.50 and £5 and tickets can be bought on the day or at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/999-emergency-vehicle-day-tickets-291153486917
