Everyone is invited to attend the service in Wimborne Minster church to mark the end of the war 40 years ago.
Wimborne Royal British Legion would like to invite members of the public and veterans to attend a service to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the end of the Falklands War.
It is being held on Tuesday 14 June at 11am in Wimborne Minster and all those wishing to attend should be seated in the Minster by 10.50am.
The service will be attended by veterans who participated in the conflict as well as civilians, including representatives from the former Flight Refuelling Ltd who played a significant role supporting the military effort.
Veterans attending are invited to wear medals and military headdress.
After the service there will be a brief wreath laying ceremony on Minster Green by the Mayor of Wimborne, Cllr Carol Butter, and representatives of the South Atlantic Medal Association.
Following the event all those attending are then invited for refreshments at Wimborne RBL.
The Falklands War began on 2 April 1982 and ended on 14 June 1982.
