Fatal road traffic collision in Poole
Having been involved in a collision with a car the pedestrian in his 80s has subsequently died and witnesses are sought.
A man in his 80s who last week was in a collision with a car at the junction of Heckford Road and Wimborne Road in Poole has sadly died.
The collision involving a blue Vauxhall Zafira occurred at around 9.45am on Friday 24 June and after being taken to Poole Hospital, the pedestrian died three days later.
Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the man who sadly died, at this very difficult time.
“We are continuing to carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.
“I would also like to hear from anyone with any dashcam footage that might assist our investigation.”
