Prehistoric creatures brought to life in Wimborne and Langton Matravers
Artsreach and Squashbox Theatre present ‘Stones and Bones’ at the Allendale Centre and Langton Matravers Village Hall.
Families in Wimborne and Langton Matravers will be able to enjoy a trip to an ancient land this month.
Artsreach and Squashbox Theatre will take people to a land of fiery volcanoes and strange prehistoric creatures with myth and legend; giants and druids; a place of ancient stone circles and mysterious monuments; and a land of Stones and Bones.
Using puppets, comedy and live music, plus lots of amazing natural history facts, audiences can expect thrills and spills galore, but also lots of laughs, plenty of puppets, songs, slapstick, tall tales and crazy characters – all presented in Craig Johnson’s unique Squashbox style.
‘Stones and Bones’ is a marvellous mix of history and mystery. Find out all about archaeology and fossils, say hello to one of your stone-age ancestors, hear stories of giants and wizards, see a volcano erupting before your very eyes, and maybe even glimpse a dinosaur or two.
Suitable for ages five plus and their families, ‘Stones and Bones’ comes to Wimborne Allendale Centre (01202 887247) on Thursday 25 Aug at 2pm, and Langton Matravers Village Hall (01929 423834) on Friday 26 Aug at 11am.
After the show there is the opportunity to take part in a hands-on puppet making workshop, bringing to life your very own character from the land of stones and bones. Places for these workshops are limited. Further information and tickets are also online at www.artsreach.co.uk
