Full marks for Wimborne’s QE pupils
Headteacher of QE School in Wimborne, Katie Boyes, said that following a very tough two years, the pupils have achieved some impressive A Level results.
Pupils at Wimborne’s QE School have had some impressive exam results this week.
Headteacher, Katie Boyes said: “We are absolutely delighted with the results of each of our students. This cohort of students has faced an incredibly tough two years. The examinations that they completed this summer are the first external examinations that the students have sat.
“The results that they have achieved are tremendous and we are incredibly proud of them and congratulate them all.
“There are too many students to name all individually however some stand-out achievements are as follows:
Alison Gould – A* in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. She is going to read Chemistry at Southampton University.
Ella Cooper – A* in Art, Graphics and Media.
Bailey Fischer-Hughes – A in Further Maths and A* in EPQ and is going to read Medicine at Cambridge University.
Sarah Allen – A* in Psychology and Economics, and A in Biology and Core Maths and is going to read Psychology at Bath University.
Harriet Warner – A* in Biology, and A in Chemistry and Psychology and is going to read Medicine at Birmingham.
Katie O’Connor – A* in Maths and Further Mathematics and is going to read Forensic Computing at Bournemouth University.
Kiera Mitchell – A* in Geography and A in Maths and Biology and is going to read Law at Cardiff University.
Caitlin Searle – A* in Philosophy and Ethics, A in Psychology, B in English Literature and A in EPQ and is going to read Psychology at Southampton University.
Hannah Perkins – A* Business, Distinction* in Health and Social Care, A in Sociology and B in Core Maths and is going to study Social work at Winchester University.
Tilly Tuner – A* in Art, A in French and B in Psychology and is going to complete an Art Foundation Course.
Lily Haywood – Distinction*Distinction* in Sport and A in Sociology and is going to read Criminology & Sociology at Winchester University.
Chloe Jenkin – Distinction*Distinction* in Business and A in Psychology and is going to read Management and Marketing at Bath University.
Gabrielle Walker – B in Photography and Distinction*Distinction* in Business and is going to follow a career in Marketing Social Media.
Lily Welsted – Distinction*Distinction* in Business and a Distinction in Law and is going to read Business Psychology at Bath Spa University.
Ellie Wall – Distinction*Distinction* in Sport and C in Psychology and is going to read Sport Coaching at Bournemouth University.
Joel Murdoch – A in Chemistry, A in Biology and B in Geography and is going to read Forensic Science at Keele.
Arthur Heckstall-Smith – A in Psychology, A in English Language and Distinction in Sport and is going to read Sport, Health & Exercise Sciences at Portsmouth University.
Owen Lockey – A* in Business, B in Economics, C in Psychology and A in Core Maths and is going to read Finance and Business at Sussex University.
Ava Keay – A in History, A in Politics and B in French and is off to read History at Bristol.
Katie Boyes added: “The majority of students have accepted a place at their first choice university.
“The resilience that every student has shown under the circumstances that they have faced over the last two years of their education is remarkable. They are an exceptional, inspiring, and talented group of individuals and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours.”
