Ringwood care home wins company’s award
St Ives House has been voted as Care South’s Care Home of the Year at the company’s annual Stars Awards ceremony.
St Ives House, a Care South care home near Ringwood, scooped the ‘Care Home of the Year’ award at the company’s recent annual Stars Awards ceremony.
Now in its 13th year, the Stars Awards recognise and reward individuals and teams from across the company for their outstanding achievements and excellent care provision. The ceremony was held live over Zoom with Care South’s chairman, Jane Stichbury and chief executive, Simon Bird hosting each care home and Care South at Home office joining online and having an afternoon of celebration offline afterwards.
The St Ives House team was delighted to be presented with the award which was based on a number of criteria including feedback and reviews from residents and relatives.
Emma Cotton, home manager at St Ives House, said: “We are delighted to have won the Care Home of the Year award. The team are always going above and beyond to help residents to continue to lead rich and fulfilling lives and all our hard work has paid off. We all love what we do and wouldn’t want to change it. Thank you to our fantastic team for helping make this happen.”
Simon Bird, chief executive at Care South, said: “What a challenging year we have had, and our Stars Awards event is a wonderful way to highlight the commitment and hard work from all our care homes. I was so pleased to have the opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate that and to thank everyone at Care South for their dedication to the many people in our care. Well done to Emma and the team at St Ives House. I hope all our homes are as proud of themselves as I am of them – well done to all.”
