New shop in Ringwood wins window competition
Although With Grace had only been open a few weeks, it took first prize in the town’s Christmas Window Competition.
With Grace, a home décor boutique, beat off competition from more than 30 other shops to win Ringwood’s Christmas Window Competition.
Certificates of achievement were presented recently to the winners by the Mayor Cllr Gareth DeBoos.
Greyfriars Community Centre wowed the youngest members of the community with a Minions themed display and was voted as the favourite Community Organisation. Champions Barbers and FORIS (Friends of Ringwood Infants School) were runners up.
The competition was organised by Ringwood Town Council as part of its Ringwood Winter Wanderland initiative, which aims to encourage people into the town centre to see the town lights and the Christmas tree and to support the local shops, businesses and community organisations. Over 1,000 votes were cast in the competition.
Cllr DeBoos said: “The Winter Wanderland has been a huge success in supporting our High Street especially after a difficult year with extensive roadworks surrounding the town. Huge congratulations to the winners With Grace, who only moved to the town a few weeks prior to Christmas.”
Emma Betsy, owner of With Grace, said: “We are utterly thrilled and thank you to all who voted for us. All the shops in Ringwood made such an effort and it was wonderful looking at them all.”
