Bournemouth fight results in five arrests and man injured
Anyone in Old Christchurch Road at 12.47am on Sunday 15 January who witnessed this fight is asked to contact the police.
Five people were arrested including three teenagers from Ringwood following a reported fight between two groups of people in Bournemouth last weekend.
Dorset Police was called at 12.47am on Sunday 15 January to the incident in Old Christchurch Road.
A Bournemouth man in his 40s was taken to hospital with head injuries and remains there receiving treatment.
A 17-year-old boy from St Leonards and a 20-year-old man from Ringwood have been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm. An 18-year-old man from Ringwood has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. A 17-year-old girl from Ringwood and a 41-year-old Bournemouth man have been arrested on suspicion of affray. All five people have been released on police bail as further enquiries are carried out.
Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen, of Bournemouth CID, said: “An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing and I am appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who might have relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage that could assist our enquiries.”
