The Minster Theatre at the Allendale Centre was full to capacity recently for Wimborne Rotary’s Jazz at the Allendale event.

Swing Unlimited Big Band presented a wide and varied selection of music ranging from traditional classics by Glenn Miller, to a second half medley of James Bond film themes which wowed the audience.

There was a warm response from the audience, who generously contributed to a retiring collection which raised over £2,000. After deduction of expenses this will go to support Youth Music Wessex, The Turkish Earthquake Disaster and other Rotary charities.

Rotarian Bob McCarthy who organised the concert said afterwards: “We were very pleased to see a full house for this annual event and even more delighted with their generous support which will enable Wimborne Rotary to continue to support charitable organisations.”
