Julia’s House prom dress ‘try and buy’ event in Creekmoor
School leavers have the chance to choose from amongst more than 200 donated dresses to wear at their proms.
Finding a glamorous prom dress can prove to be very expensive, but this year school leavers have the chance to buy a nearly-new dress.
Julia’s House charity superstore is holding a ‘try and buy’ event at its charity superstore in Creekmoor on the evening of Thursday 30 March, with more than 200 donated dresses on offer, plus shoes and accessories.
Julia’s House retail manager Tracy Stanley said: “At a time when living costs are drastically rising, we’re proud that we can help this year’s school leavers to obtain their prom outfits in an affordable way. Buying pre-loved goods, such as the clothing we have in our charity shops, is an ethical alternative to today’s fast fashion and throwaway culture. Well-made products, such a prom dresses, can remain in use for decades, reducing waste and helping the environment.”
The charity is calling out for proms dress donations too. And, when you donate any prom dress bought from Julia’s House back to the charity, you’ll receive 20 per cent off your next purchase in any of their 14 high street shops across Dorset and Wiltshire.
Booking is essential for the prom dress ‘try and buy’ evening, which runs from 6-9pm and is completely free of charge to attend. Visit https://juliashousecreekmoor.timetap.com/#/
