Farmer Palmers fly the flag for Dorset by winning gold
Family favourite Farmer Palmers were proudly flying the flag for Dorset after scooping gold for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year.
Farmer Palmers has received the South West Tourism Excellence Awards’ regional gold award for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year at the Eden Project.
The morning after the awards, some of the excitable animals could be heard mooing their joy from the barn, down on the family-run farm as the team celebrated the achievement.
Sandra Palmer-Snellin, director said, “This belongs to the team. Their exceptional, top quality ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude deserves this recognition. This award follows on from the success of winning Winner of Winners, at the Dorset Tourism Awards last year, which gave us entry to the South West Tourism Excellence Awards.
“We believe customers deserve excellent, quality service, and a warm welcome. It is lovely to see all the hard work, ongoing investments, and attention to detail were recognised by the judges who secretly shopped our experience. We always listen to feedback from our customers, so we are grateful for the opportunity for feedback from the judges. Knowing that Farmer Palmers is heading to the National Awards is mind-blowing. Success is golden and we are looking forward to the sunshine ahead.”
This year, Dorset’s Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park, is celebrating 25 years in business and generations of children have grown up visiting the park, learning in the fun, countryside environment.
Sandra explains: “You can really feel that the customers and the team are one big family.
“Now, more than ever, play is a crucial full-body exercise that develops critical thinking skills. Children are like sponges, soaking up everything as they learn new things. At Farmer Palmer’s they can be curious, investigate, explore, run, bounce, climb, communicate, as well as, develop imagination and creativity. Add giggles of laughter to the mix and the magic is made.”
Farmer Palmers were among a strong Dorset representation at the awards and Sandra added: “It just goes to show that by nurturing the seeds of teamwork and quality, you can harvest success that benefits everyone.”
