West Moors man seriously injured in collision at Hurn
This was a single vehicle collision which happened on Monday 28 August on Matchams Lane close to Hurn Post Office.
Bank Holiday Monday saw a collision at Hurn in which a man from West Moors received serious injuries.
The incident, which was reported to police at 4.47pm, happened on Matchams Lane close to Hurn Post Office at the junction of Avon Causeway.
It involved a single vehicle – a silver 3 Series BMW Coupe.
The driver, a man in his 40s was airlifted to hospital.
Sergeant Mike Gatfield, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.
“I would like to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.
“Also, I would urge anyone who might have captured relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.
“I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closure, which was necessary to enable us to conduct our investigation.”
