Hike the Jurassic Coast for Diverse Abilities
If you like walking or hiking, the upcoming Jurassic Coast Challenge to raise money for Dorset’s disability charity could be just your thing.
Walkers and explorers are invited to join Diverse Abilities and take on the Jurassic Coast Challenge, a series of treks and trail that run over the weekend of 18 and 19 May.
The Jurassic Coast Challenge features a number of distances for participants of all experience levels. Choose your own challenge and do it at your own pace with support that will enable you to go further, whilst enjoying the great outdoors and camaraderie with distances from 10km to 100km.
Francesca Potton, community fundraiser at Diverse Abilities, said: “We are really excited to be part of this challenge. Most of Team DA will be participating in the 10km and 25km options, so our fundraisers can take in the challenge as part of a group, but you’re welcome to take on any distance that suits you. This is a great way to see the beauty of the Jurassic Coast, while also making a huge difference to a charity right on your doorstep.”
Entries include free food and drink at rest stops, plus support including medics, marshals and massage, alongside a glass of fizz and a medal at the finish line. Raise over £25 and you’ll receive a free Diverse Abilities technical t-shirt or vest.
