Residents invited to have their say on Ringwood Neighbourhood Plan
Ringwood residents have the chance to vote in a referendum on whether or not to accept a new Neighbourhood Plan.
Not only will Ringwood residents be putting their crosses on ballot papers in the General Election on Thursday 4 July, but they will also have the chance to vote in a referendum for the Ringwood Neighbourhood Plan.
Residents will be asked: Do you want New Forest District Council and New Forest National Park Authority to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Ringwood to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood Area?
The Ringwood Neighbourhood Plan will set the standards for future development in the town, tackling such issues as affordable housing, energy efficiency, preserving Ringwood’s character and funding for local projects.
To view the full plan, supporting documents, and details on eligibility to vote, go online to https://www.newforest.gov.uk/ringwoodplan. However, for those who prefer paper copies, head to Ringwood Gateway or Ringwood Library.
