Elderly man injured in Branksome hit and run
Dorset Police are hoping the motorist responsible will come forward and any witnesses to this incident at the County Gates roundabout.
A driver failed to stop when his vehicle collided with a Honda Accord at the County Gates Roundabout in Branksome, with Dorset Police receiving the report at 9.20am on Wednesday 6 November.
The occupant of the Honda – a man in his 80s – attended hospital for treatment to injuries to his legs and arms.
Police Constable Jade Kerslake, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“I would also urge anyone with dashcam who was driving in the vicinity during the morning of Wednesday 6 November 2024, as well as any local residents or businesses with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, to please check any footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.
“Finally, I would like to appeal directly to the motorist involved in this collision to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
