Mrs Lena Bowler 101years of age, bought the first Poppy from Centre manager John Hanrahan along with members from the Age UK group
The official launch of the Heatherlands RBL Poppy Appeal with the local Age UK took place on Thursday, 31 October.
The oldest member Mrs Lena Bowler who is 101 bought the first poppy from centre manager and community leader John Hanrahan who said, “You can get your poppies from the Heatherlands Centre, local shops, chippy and Turbury Court on the Heatherlands Estate.”
