Diwali shines a light on Day Nursery

From making lanterns to enjoying mouth-watering dishes, tiny tots at one Bournemouth nursery were given a taste of the Indian festival of light, Diwali.
It is currently being celebrated by Hindus across the globe and also a little closer to home at the Bournemouth Day Nursery where the children enjoyed a whole day dedicated to this ancient festival and learning about India.

A bicycle with the serial number F110415484 (pictured) was stolen from Westbourne between 4 and 19 October from a block of flats along Lindsay Road. Children show litter the red card

Bournemouth primary school children are helping kick litter in their local community into touch.
Children from the Elm Academy have joined forces with AFC Bournemouth and Bournemouth Borough Council to help clear and recycle the rubbish people drop near their school.
The youngsters have been going out on weekly litter picks in West Howe with AFC Bournemouth players and mascot Cherry Bear.
