£500 donated to Eco in Mind Project in Dorchester
As a fitting way to end National Allotment Week, Dorchester Round Table has donated £500 to the local Eco in Mind Project.
The Eco Mind Project will use the donation to continue to help provide ecotherapy mental health support for young people and adults in Dorchester.
Eco in Mind offers practical support whilst offering a service and a safe space for those struggling with their mental health. The project helps participants build confidence, self-esteem and resilience whilst connecting them with their surroundings and their communities. Working on allotments helps volunteers and participants discover benefits of being outside and working with nature.
Donations from local businesses and organisations like the Round Table enable the charity to help local people who need support for confidence, self-esteem, and mental wellbeing.
