Christmas came a bit early to Allenbourn Middle School in Wimborne, when the children in Years 7&8 hosted their annual tea party.
About 35 members of the local community, including older relatives of the children, came in to school to be entertained. The choir sang carols, the orchestra played seasonal tunes, and mince pies, cakes, sandwiches and hot drinks were provided. This year Waitrose contributed £50 in vouchers towards the cost, with the school providing the rest, and the children doing all the preparation themselves.
One of the oldest guests was 90-year-old James Perrott from Parkstone, whose great great great nephew Fraser is in Year 7.
