Police in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information following a robbery at Tesco Extra, Ringwood Road – with CCTV images of the suspect being released.
The incident happened at around 8.50pm on Thursday 16 June at Tesco Extra on Ringwood Road. A man walked up to the check-out with a basket of goods. He attempted to pay with the wrong amount of money before lunging over the till, grabbing £700, and running out of the store toward Old Wareham Road.
He is described as aged in his 20s, five feet eleven inches tall, with ginger curly hair and a pale complexion and freckles. He was wearing a dark hooded top with a Superdry logo on the front, light blue jeans and black trainers.
Police Constable Warren Cummings, of Poole police, said: “Having made a number of enquiries, I am now in a position to release CCTV of the incident.
“I appreciate the images do not clearly show the face of the offender, however someone may recognise him from the clothing he is wearing or his build or stance.
“Anyone with information should contact police or call Crimestoppers anonymously.”
