Police investigating the theft of an engagement ring worth around £4,700 from Warren James Jewellers on Commercial Road have released a CCTV image of the suspect.
The man entered the store on 28 October and enquired about a diamond ring on display in the shop window. He tried the ring on and ran off without making an attempt to pay. The incident took place at around 2.19pm.
He is described as black, five feet four inches tall, of slim build, with short dark hair and was wearing a grey hooded top and light-coloured jeans.
Police Constable Joel Brooks, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am now able to release CCTV images of the suspect in this theft.
“Anyone who is able to identify the man or who has any more information about the incident should contact me, in confidence, on 101.”
