CCTV appeal after couple assaulted in Bournemouth
Officers are releasing a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify after two people were assaulted in central Bournemouth on Sunday 13 August.
Two people had to go to hospital for treatment to facial injuries after they were assaulted outside Debenhams in Bournemouth Square at around 1.30am on 13 August.
It was reported that an unknown black man dressed in black approached the victims – a man and a woman aged in their 20s.
The offender struck the man, knocking him to the ground. The woman attempted to defend her boyfriend, but she was punched in the face and knocked to the ground.
Police Constable Peter Jelley, of Bournemouth police, said: “We believe this was an unprovoked attack and I am releasing an image of the suspect in the hope someone can identify him.
“Anyone with information about his identity or witnesses to the incident should contact Dorset Police or call Crimestoppers anonymously.”
