Mayor of Christchurch in 2013/14, Cllr John Lofts, has presented his three nominated charities with cheques amounting to £5,250.
Each of the charities, Autism Wessex, The RNLI Mudeford and Christchurch Priory Fabric Fund, received £1,750.
Cllr Lofts said: “I’m very grateful to everyone who contributed to the money raised for my charities during my mayoral year. All three of the charities are very deserving of support. The lifeboat crew at Mudeford provide life-saving services in all weathers, Autism Wessex give children with autism an education, sometimes on a one-to-one basis, while the Fabric Fund at the Priory keeps Christchurch’s most treasured building in good condition.”
