Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, is delighted to announce a once in a lifetime five-day trek through the Mont Blanc region of the Alps, from 31 August – 4 September, to help raise vital funds to provide a lifetime of support to local children and adults with disabilities.
The breathtaking trek consists of approximately 65km over the course of five days and will see the best views Europe has to offer with exquisite cliffs and dazzling waterfalls. You will get to travel through three countries in three days including Geneva, Chamonix, Val Ferry, La Fouley and more, and it will all end on the last night with a celebration dedicated to your achievements and fundraising.
Jodie Harris, events manager at Diverse Abilities said, added: “The trek will certainly challenge you with lots of ups and downs, but the rewards are the pleasure of seeing the most spectacular views this part of Europe has to offer. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience an adventure like no other and sign up today.”
The trek is suitable for anyone over 18 and the experience itself will stay with you for a lifetime. Registration for the event is £149 and the minimum fundraising pledge is £1,800, which will help Diverse Abilities to support children and adults living with physical and learning disabilities in Dorset.
Jodie added: “By taking part in this challenge and raising £1,800 is enough to run our children’s respite home for a whole day and night, meaning that four children can enjoy a fun time away, whilst all their families receive a nights respite to rest, spend time with the rest of their family or maybe even go out, secure in the knowledge that their child is safe and cared for.”
