A successful Comedy Night held recently at the Conservative Club in Ringwood, in aid of the charities for Fanfare for Spring, more than doubled the cash collected for the spring event.
Said Roger Bettle organiser of Fanfare, “We had a great day but we were only able to raise £463 with our collecting buckets, but thanks to the Comedy Night and to the organisers Nicki Foakes of Ringwood Surplus Stores and Belinda Charlton we ended up with over £1,000. This means that we are able to give £250 to each of our four local charities.”
The charities supported by Fanfare for Spring and the Comedy Night were the Ringwood Young Firefighters (YFA) the 3rd Ringwood Scouts, The Ringwood Guides and the Ringwood First Responders.
Tickets sold out for the Comedy Night, which could become an annual event.
