Allum & Sidaway were delighted to be finalists in three categories of the 2013 UK Jewellery Awards, sponsored by leading industry magazine Retail Jeweller. So when the Industry’s finest gathered in the extraordinary surroundings of the Natural History Museum, London on 4 July to see which 16 lucky winners from the Best of the Best would take home an elite trophy, Allum & Sidaway could only hope that they might win one of the three categories.
To be triumphant in two awards was a victory for Allum and Sidaway and staff as they celebrated their extraordinary achievement.
The first was for Retail Employer of the Year when one of the judges said, “I want to work here. Just fantastic!”
However, a second triumph was waiting for Abigail Stradling, the Salisbury manager, winner of Retail Star of the Year, when one of the judges described her as a “fantastic all-rounder” and an “amazing woman.”
Managing Director, Jason Allum said, “We are fantastically proud of these awards and we were humbled to hear the wonderful testimonials given by our staff who we truly value. My aim is to continue the commitment to the development of staff careers including well organised training programmes and to inspire our staff to provide the best service we can and to be more than just jewellery stores. As for Abi, her commitment and enthusiasm for our business is inspirational and infectious. We are immensely proud and fortunate to have her within our company and she thoroughly deserves this award.
